Gembogl Health Centre Upgraded to Level 4 Hospital in Milestone Visit
GEMBOGL, Simbu Province – In a significant step for rural healthcare, the Simbu Provincial Health Authority (SiPHA) escorted the Hon. Minister for Health, Elias Kavavore MP, on a site visit to the Gembogl Rural Health Centre. The visit marked the official sanctioning and declaration of the centre’s upgrade from a Level 3 to a Level 4 facility, paving the way for the development of the Gembogl Tourism Hospital.
The upgrade was made possible through the tireless efforts of the Mitnande LLG Development Association, a collaborative group consisting of leaders from Kuglkane, Mauglak, and Inaugl communities. The association has worked in close partnership with SiPHA to champion healthcare development in the region.
"The Association is founded to serve the poor and not for personal gain," a spokesperson said, reinforcing its community-centered mission.
The upgrade is expected to significantly improve access to quality health services for people in the remote parts of Gembogl and surrounding areas.
